As you know, the comic has moved!
The complete post is at http://pathetichumancomic.blogspot.com/

Ninja Strike

Aaaah...fully converted to Adobe Illustrator. BIG NEWS GUISE! The comic is being renamed and moving to a new URL, because I am sick of embarrassing situations with the other 4 AM comic which shall not be spoken of. The site is currently under construction, it's also a blogspot for now.
Here's the link: http://pathetichumancomic.blogspot.com/
The comics will start probably at Comic 80.
If you read and/or follow this comic, please please please follow the new site. This site will soon be shut down, as soon as I figure out how to do that.
Thanks for your patience people, you know I love you if you read this, and if you don't also. :)

Peace out!

Impropaganda

what's cooler than an alien knowing how to promote himself in an election? an alien who does it wearing snappy ties.
in other news, i miss doing lines in photoshop, so i decided to draw a little something extra the old fashioned way today. that's right, it's the first ever BONUS DOODLE! doodles are necessary byproducts of my doing any kind of artwork, but sometimes they actually turn out pretty nice. so here's one. it's called, Anna at the Lab, and it's dedicated to all the lab peeps who put up with me, and especially to Brian Wall, the lab beast who actually reads my lame comics.

Doing It Like Bill

You know what's scary? Kids born after 2000 don't even know who Clinton is. They don't even remember that crazy election where Bush won. /sigh/
Anyway, an exponentially better attempt in illustrator. I am sticking with this. It's gut, und gut for me! :]

I got work early tomorrow, as seems to be the case whenever i have to pull a late night, so peace out!

All the Qualifications

LEARN FROM THIS, ALL YOU POLITICIANS. Please the gunslinging dumasses, throw some cash around, drop some sexy tidbit from the past. Well, at least they have the male model part down pat.

In other news, this comic looks different. This is because it was done entirely as vector art in Illustrator. I made the switch because my wrist declared, in the form of an agonizing pain dart, that it will not do any lineart until the tendon fully heals. I don't like having to change my drawing habits all in one go, but my wrist is thanking me right now by actually not hurting!

So that's how I'm going to draw comics for now. Excuse the crappy first attempt, art quality hounds. But enjoy the joke...and the sexy body of Gloz the Alien senator.

Peace out!

So simple a senior citizen can do it.

Oh my god, the facial expressions on the little guy were so fun to draw. And if the Terminator, a peanut farmer, and a Tina Fey character, a robot and a fat hog could become governors, and god knows what kind of demented old men can become Senators, why not an alien? These aliens are really fun to do. It means I get to spend a lot of time thinking about the many ways I can take over the world, provided access to superior weapons technology and a pretty cool blue suit.

I had a really long, fun day and I am tired as hell. peace out!

Unconditional Surrender

And in the end, isn't an endless supply of free precious alcohol what most young people want? Why should aliens be any exceptions.
I would make more snarky/whiny/life-descriptory comments but I am so damn tired I can barely move. So I'm gonna crawl into my warm comfy bed and sleep :]

Works Every Time

Used airline blanket: $5 (if you're flying Continental). Bottle of Smirnoff: $25. Easily defeating any organic alien race that thinks of invading Earth: priceless. In certain circumstances, depending on the energy exchange mechanisms of the invading organism, Smirnoff can be substituted with Ritalin, tobacco, Novocaine, oxygen or even sugar. And of course, if smallpox is unavailable we can always use the flu or streptococcus, those are immune to almost anything these days. If the alien does not accept blankets, try to make them try raw unsterilized eggs or not airport sushi. If the alien is a humanoid, sex is always a great way to transmit all kinds of infections.

Yes, I do in fact spend time thinking about this kind of stuff. And I try to instruct my brother as to what to do in an alien invasion. Let's face it, it's much more likely than a zombie invasion.

I think i'll start using my brother in my comics more often. He's fun to draw, and doesn't do much fun stuff so the comics might entertain him. Plus, he needs a shave.

OK all, peace out! And happy 1st of June.

Everyone's Saying It

It was the first thought in my head, and probably everyone else's. Poor Gary Coleman.

It's Not What You Think

It's ok. maybe the rumors are true and the world will end in 2012 or 1 year before the graduation of myself and my fellow sophomores. Either way, enjoy your summer, those without jobs, because you'll have deja vu in four years!
And I apologize for the delay. I had a really fun day yesterday so I got kind of tired by 4 am.

Good...day!

No Can Do

As Bilbo Baggins liked to say, nastly little things, adventures are. You end up late to dinner. Well, now there are video games to effectively kill any spirit of adventure left in the human brain. Sorry, fairies and Narnia lions. Better go digital soon, or your realms are doomed.

Good night!

Fear Machine

And  the book is most certainly going to be by Kurt Vonnegut. Because his dark comedy seems like a happy rainbowland compared to what's going on outside. Seriously, 500 channels and nothing on but bad news. Jesus H. Christ. Yeah...
But let's not forget that there's a lot of good in the world still! For example, that television could be attached to a console to play fun video games! And there are plenty of good books to read (does anyone still remember what a book is?). And also going outside and hanging out with your friends. If everyone could just chill the eff out and enjoy the good things, and help others to do so, the world would be a much better place.

Ok peoples i'm out! Leave a comment pretty please!

Facebook: the reason the patriot act is no longer relevant

Yeah, Facebook isn't actually private. What else is new. Actually, looking at people's stupid status updates on Openbook is quite fun. everyone should try it! ^_^

OK, good night!

House Riffs

In commemoration of another glorious House season finale. I won't be a spoiler to those who wait till next week, but Huddy supporters will be extra happy. Gotta love House! BTW ben if you want the episode tomorrow i can send it to you :)

Anyways everyone good night! My brother's using me for his lab experiments tomorrow, sounds like it's gonna be a lot of fun! :D

Nature Has A Great Sense of Irony

Oh, the molten irony. I prefer to think that the world IS going to end in 2012, because it will be a pleasant surprise when it doesn't. And then we can have a big and probably fatal we survived party!

To use my favorite phrase, Kurt Vonnegut wrote a good story about this. (Rest in peace sir, you're the man) If you like Kurt Vonnegut, holler! I think I should start a Kurt Vonnegut appreciation club.

Anyway summer vacation is upon us, us meaning the college world, sorry high schoolers, and I feel great! Still can't believe the year is over, but it sure is nice to do whatever I want all day long. Already missing my friends though.

OK, i'm out. Good night all!

Short People Run A High Risk of Substance Abuse

That's right. All of our favorite short people are addicts. Link is an alcoholic or a Ritalin enthusiast, depending which culture you subscribe to. Everyone knows the Mario brothers love their toadstools. Frodo is a god-knows-what, but sure acts as constipated as a heroin addict. Merry and Pippin? Total stoners. Seriously. They LOVE smoking pipeweed. I think the only clean one of that bunch is Samwise, and he has an eating disorder. Can you tell I just watched LOTR while making this comic?

Anyway, college is over for what Al Gore insists is "summer", and the lack of stress definitely shows positively on my work. Now its' sleepy time, and nobody will disturb me, cos they can't get to my bed. My room is literally impenetrable under all my stuff that I didn't have tiem to put away.

I LOVE YOU ALL! and thank you for your support. making a comic is a lot harder than it seems, so any support, or coffee, or hugs are much appreciated :)

Size Matters And Don't Believe Anyone Who Tells You Otherwise

So Stephen Hawking contends that if aliens do exist, we don't want them here because they will enslave us with their superior technology. Of course, as everyone less nerdy than he knows, there is always the issue of size. It's hard to be an alien conqueror if your intelligent conqueree would just step on you. Although, sometimes I doubt the intelligence of human beings. Case in point, the strato pen. As the Russians bewilderedly pointed out to the Americans, who invented this pen that works in zero G, "pencil."

F.I.N.A.L.S - you know what it means

Integalactic and Intertemporal Star Wars Day

Star Wars is great and all, but Star Trek is truly the best. I know the jedis of the world are gonna kill me for this, but suck it up dudes, Star Trek is more awesome. Especially with the new movie. I don't see any new Star Wars movies in the making!
If I keep posting at 6 AM i might have to rename my comic....lol ok good night / morning everyone!

Crazy Night

I regret nothing! Staying up comicking is soooo much better than getting drunk off your ass! Really! It even destroys your brain cells just as much, without all that mucking about with bad weather and cops and disgustingly sad booze. You know what would be ideal though? Drawing a comic while sipping a black russian (kahlua + vodka). I should actually try that someday.

Anyways, good night, I've got a lot of work to do today and even some sleeping to catch up on!

Voting Rights

The Democratic turnout must have been pathetic for Christie to win. Although they DID get split by Daggett, who was far more competent than both Corzine and Christie. Anyway, if you're whining now, you should have voted earlier.
I voted in the state election, but this week I totally forgot to vote for the budget, nice going me.
OK good night everyone!

Women and Gaming

Being a girl gamer cuts you all kinds of breaks! BTW the way they can tell, for non gamers, is through your voice.
I was playing around with coloring, since i'm really bored of the style I do normally. This time it came out markery and dark, we'll see what I come up with next time. Stay tuned for more changes.

Make Your Own Superhero

so last night I saw Kick - Ass, and that night Quentin Tarantino was one-upped in terms of ridiculousness. While drooling about the girl character's jetpack, I started wondering what I would look like as a superhero. My main superpower is resistance to cold and control of cavalry bears and sniper cats. I also can shoot pencils from my fists and drink lots of coffee. And the bear has a jetpack for extra charging power. The jet pack runs on vodka.
As far as quality is concerned, it could have been better had I not passed out last night. And had PNG-ing not destroyed the colors.
either way, enjoy. And see Kick Ass. Just don't bring young kids to see Kick Ass. It's really fucking violent.

Slacking Off

all you calc-takers in my dorm think art class is just fun and games. in reality, art classes are 3 hours at an atrocious time slot in the middle of nowhere, and have a LOT, and i mean a fucking LOT of homework.
this took me forever to do, it's actually bright outside right now.
perfect for bedtime.
good night!

Top 3

my god, i am sick of not being big enough. in other news, i am tired, so it's shower/bedtime. until the early class tomorrow, and probably right through it.
gnight!

Extreme Weather Conditions

it just doesn't get any bigger than this. i don't understand why :(
anyways, yes, i'm complaining about the weather because it's FUCKING HOT IN MY ROOM!!! lol i feel like a polar bear in the San Diego zoo - dying of heat and have a craving for sushi. mmmm...
okay, good night all!

Thursday, April 8, 2010

Not Scary At All

why can't i get these images larger? i don't know. i'm working on it. :( Anyway, I apologize for being away for two installments due to distractions in a wide range of pleasantness. I will post regularly again starting right now!

In other news, I have commandeered me some MangaStudio, so after I install it, I will no longer take two hours to draw lineart of questionable quality!!! At least, so I hope. My tablet (love you, baby) is getting a bit on the senile side, maybe I'll spoil myself with a new one.

In still other news, I hope you're enjoying the hot weather as much as I am, unless you're in a dorm. In that case I send you my consolations from the fourth un-air-conditioned floor of my own dorm!

Good morning!

Mornings - I Don't Do Them

Graduation

i tried something new this time. probably not a good idea considering i have already pulled an all nighter last night and am now literally dying. but yeah - you graduate thinking, freedom, and then classes start.

good night...finally

Observe the Student in his Natural Habitat

Every respectable comic blogger dabbles in the immense fun of graphing. I decided to sin against my usual excruciatingly detailed style by doing a graph! Don't think me lazy...I just have a shit ton of work to do.

And to be honest, this still took me a good two hours.
Anyway, good night!

Thursday, March 25, 2010

Critical Hit! It's Super Effective.

So...I was walking back from art class and at that intersection at George Street I dodged death for the umpteenth time. I think if I had a Pokewalker with me, I'd be pasted to some douchebag's chrome bumper. POKEMANZ KILL PEOPLE!
And there's pikachu! :D
And, and, I'm listening to the soundtrack of Nightmare Before Christmas... and i've already had so much coffeee....I think you can tell even by the poor shading on the comic, that my brain is addled.

Good night!

A Pre-existing Condition

Yes. This one is for Matt Ackerman, a great friend and one of my most avid supporters, i still haven't quite figure out why he puts up with me.
And now back to studying.
Good night! Or morning! Whatever. SCHMILE!

Say Hello To My Little Friend

ok, I know someone somewhere has beaten this horse dead. So yes, I am beating a dead horse. But I couldn't resist drawing this after playing Half Life 2. Plus, I am frantically working on my digital painting skills, and I would say some progress has been made. this took me about 7 hours of nonstop work WITHOUT COFFEE!!!!!!!!. which shows how much I could really could do if I wasn't such a lazy bum.
enjoy!
and good morning!

Great Expectations or Greatest Expectations?

And that is what is expected of the Krasner. I have little to say else.

It's late, I'm going to bed.

Night everyone!

An Easy Exam

That's right. 67's pretty damn good for linear algebra, apparently. With a 63, I did only slightly worse than average. Do better next time, I hope...

Spring break has, on this high note, begun! :D
Have fun everyone!

Sensei Strikes Again!

Moriyama-sensei. The 105 pound killing machine world-renowned founder of our Aikido school. Knows me by name and makes fun of said name ENDLESSLY. This time around, in front of the whooooole class. T_T

For those who weren't around for the first comic on his topic, the point is, Moriyama Sensei has really bad engrish, and knows this, and Ana in japanese means "hole" but he pronounced it "whore". So yeah. Lucky me!

I kinda fell asleep before posting this, hence the late post. Sorry.

Tuesday, March 9, 2010

The Mad ... Coffee Party

Making the background was fun. Other than that, being sleep deprived for two days makes comicking not as fun as it should be. But yeah. I watched Alice in Wonderland and the graphics were amazing. It was just a lot of fun in general! Let's hear it for Burton-Depp-Carter, the trio that makes Krasner smile even on the worst days.

Ok.
I'm passing out. Like now.
Hope this finds you in good health and good dreams :)

Sleep: A Healthy Alternative to Coffee

I have to put this comic on break for two installments. My wrist is acting up, I have a lot of shit to do, I'm kind of under the weather and I know I won't be able to update Friday because I'M GOING TO SEE ALICE IN WONDERLAND IN IMAX 3D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
maybe i'll post a doodle about how orgasmic it is.

See you guys on monday!

Inclement Weather

Well, I thought I'd ring in the 51st comic and the first day of March with some class. And what could be more classy than a political cartoon about the weather? Yes, this joke is beat to death, but let's face it, AlGoreFail is always funny.

Oooh, and it's early! I win!
Ok, good night everyone, I'm going to not-sleep!

Fanpeople

This is especially true of onion rings. They're like deep fried Hypnotoad, they are. It's a little upsetting that people actually declare their love for such silly things. You know what? Everyone who fanned an Onion-ring related profile, go on Facebook right now and fan 4 AM.  Show your support!!!
http://www.facebook.com/pages/4-AM/188977853028?ref=ts
With horror I realized that
a) This is comic number 50
and
b) I have no alcohol to commemorate this occasion with. I have ice cream though. I'm gonna eat ice cream, watch a movie, and cry. Hey, I'm female last time I checked. I'm allowed.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who's supported me through this little exercise, which I plan to continue until I die of lack of sleep. I love you all very very much. <3

Good night.

Krasner-proof

You know what? If a container is childproof, a person wouldn't learn to open it during his or her childhood. As a result, they would not be able to open it as an adult. So there. I'm not retarded. Not at all.
There should be a class in college called Opening Childproof Containers 101.

I'm sick, so that's an excuse for the horrendous quality and inking and stuff. I actually feel a lot better and not sleepy at all since I spent all day semiconscious in unimaginable suffering. Also, I did something fun today. I had Family Guy and the Simpsons on while I was chatting on facebook and inking this comic!

***ANNOUNCEMENT***my friend Rose Flahive started a comic of her own, LOOSELEAF LOVERS, which is infinitely funnier than my shit.
http://looseleaflovers.blogspot.com
Check it out everyone, it's the next big thing! It's like Shrubmonkeys mixed with Indexed!

Unstoppable

In an unfortunate turn of events, my tablet was temporarily captured by the enemy. But I am unstoppable! Unfortunately, I was too cheap to take advantage of a ridiculous Copic marker sale, so I used prismacolors. They don't scan too well.

I would have gone crazier with this, but i have an exam tomorrow that i am totally not ready for. still.

good night everyone!
by the way, if anyone wants the original drawing of this comic, you can have it for one simple payment of nothing whatsoever. i don't want it, so someone please take it.

see ya!

Full Circle

Of course we all grew out of Disney. Then we grew up. It's better the second time around.
In other words, college, also known as kindergarten with alcohol.
Can you believe when we were born, there was no kindom hearts or flat-panel tv's?
I grow old, I grow old...
God damn it all, my coffee has gone cold.
I think I'll drink it anyway.

Good night everyone. Don't forget you were all kids at one point.

Brainstem Break

It lives in your head. It is attached to your brain. It looks like an alien. We've been looking for them in outerspace. But they are here! BRAINSTEMS!
Sorry guys, I can't have a full comic tonight. I hope you enjoy my drawing of the aliens in our heads.

Tuesday, February 16, 2010

Naptime

Bogged down with work? Procrastinate! That's the Krasner way!

Early post! Time for me to study. And do homework. Lots of homework. Have a great snowy night :]

Ghost Town

Busch Campus is full of people who will observe Chinese new year this weekend. A lonely weekend it will be.

Early post yay!!!

Thursday, February 11, 2010

COLD WAR

So the greatest snow day in years was yesterday. There was so much snow, I actually felt like it was Old Country. if only we had bears. I didn't draw snow in the comic, because I looked at the time and it was 6:30 am and i got a bit scared for my sanity.  i will have morningmares from all the stuff i could have done with the art and this one, and didn't, because it was 6:30 am...
*sniff*
ok.
good morning everyone!!!
